Nancy Nyssen (Zirkle) VIEW PROFILE

Nancy Ann Zirkle, 40, Yakima, Washington, died Thursday, August 23, 2001, at Providence Yakima Medical Center.

Nancy was born in Portland, Oregon on August 25, 1960, to Carl and Madell (Hall) Nyssen. She was raised and received her education in Portland and Yakima, graduating from Eisenhower High School. She then attended Trend College for two years. A resident of the Yakima Valley since 1975, Nancy was an inside salesperson employed by Best Built Windows for about six years. Prior to her employment with Best Built Windows, Nancy worked with her father in his business, Magnuson Sleepers Inc. in Moxee for ten years. She was very fond of animals.

Survivors include her husband, Craig Zirkle of Yakima; her son, Nick Zirkle of Yakima; her father and mother, Carl (Bing) Nyssen and Madell Nyssen both of Yakima; three brothers, Ken Nyssen and his wife, Carrie, Ron Nyssen and Dan Nyssen all of Yakima; two nieces and two nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2001, at the Keith & Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel. Concluding services and burial will follow at Terrace Heights Memorial Park. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation in care of Keith & Keith Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9 – 5 p.m. Sunday and 9 – 8 p.m. Monday at the Keith & Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel.

I didn't know Nancy well. I do remember her being shy and softspoken; a sweet girl.

I remember Nancy as being smart, very, very smart. She also was quiet, had a lovely smile & was shy. I'm sorry to learn of her passing.
