My most heartfelt blessings toward Julie, Douglas, Eli, & Grace.

I was his Freshman roomate at UPS, Tacoma. I loved him dearly. He taught me by example what Kindness was. Everyone who knew him was touched by his spirit & energy. His Light will never fade.

This one hit me hard. Dan and I were great friends through high school and had many adventures together. He introduced me to Young Life, where I accepted Christ as my savior at a Breakway Camp at Cannon Beach.

From Hiking Club and rock climbing, to Frisbee playing and ping pong at Russ Dix's house, much of who I am was formed side-by-side with Dan.

We've stayed in touch over the years and everytime we saw each other, it was as if no time had passed. Our last communication was through 2023 Christmas cards. We had hoped to get together on a backpacking trip in the Goat Rocks. While that trip won't happen now, Dan's spirit will be with me on every trail I hike.

I love you, Brother. Give Jesus a hug for me!

I was so sad to learn of Dan's untimely passing.  He was such a friendly and genuinely nice guy who shared kindness with all those around him at Ike.  He was humble, non-judgmental, and mature beyond his years.  His family have my deepest condolences and are in my heart and prayers during this time.

I mainly remember Dan through Young Life in high school.  I always looked up to him for his genuine kindness and faith in Jesus.  Rest in peace and we'll meet again in heaven.

This is not an easy one to accept. Dan was an active outdoorsman and genuine kind soul whose friendliness I always appreciated. Many good times together in Young Life back in the 1970s, including hiking together in Canada on 'Hiking Beyond'. I am so sorry for his loss and for the heartache his family must be reeling with at this time.
